Boeing-Built Anik F2 Satellite Ready for Launch
ST. LOUIS, July 08, 2004 -- The Boeing 702 spacecraft built for Telesat is the largest communications satellite ever built, weighing 5,950 kg (13,118 lbs.) at liftoff. Through the use of advanced spot beam technology, the Anik F2 satellite will bring Ka broadband internet services coast-to-coast to residents in Canada and the United States.
