Chicago, March 23, 2005 -- Sub-assembly technician Virginia Melvin proof tests the braze and weld integrity for "potty bottles" used to protect against fires in lavatory trash receptacles on Boeing aircraft. Kidde Aerospace provides bleed leak detection and fire protection systems throughout the entire airplane including the engine, auxiliary power unit, lavatories, and cargo bay areas.
