Boeing Delivers Virgin Blue's 50th Next-Generation 737

Return to News Release

SEATTLE, July 27, 2005 -- Virgin Blue Airlines' 50th Boeing 737 departs Boeing Field in Seattle for a test flight prior to delivery. The "True Blue" livery is a stark contrast to Virgin Blue's typical red to commemorate the milestone delivery event, accomplished in less than five years of airline operations. Virgin has an extensive Australian domestic route structure, and runs international services from Australia to New Zealand under the Pacific Blue label. The Boeing 737 family is the leading choice of the world's low-fare carriers.
