Bell Boeing QuadTiltrotor selected for Joint Heavy Lift study contract

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 22, 2005 -- This artist's concept shows the Bell Boeing QuadTiltrotor (QTR) aircraft. Under a $3.45 million contract from the U.S. Army, the team of Bell Helicopter, a Textron company (NYSE: TXT), and Boeing Phantom Works (NYSE: BA) will conduct conceptual design and analysis of the QTR for the Joint Heavy Lift program. The study contract is for 18 months.
