CHICAGO, March 23, 2005 -- Thirteen companies from four countries were honored tonight with Boeing's [NYSE: BA] premier supplier award, presented to the company's top suppliers in recognition of their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
The 13 award-winning Boeing Suppliers of the Year were selected from a field of more than 10,000 Boeing suppliers in nearly 70 countries and approved through a rigorous and thorough review process. Boeing saluted these companies at its annual Suppliers of the Year award ceremony in Newport Beach, Calif.
Jim Morris, Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president of Engineering and Manufacturing, said the honored suppliers this year "have sustained exceptional effort that makes them the best across the supply base at providing technical and business solutions" while consistently meeting stringent quality, cost and delivery requirements.
"Engaging effective and efficient suppliers such as the 13 honored this year is vital for Boeing to reach new levels of performance and be successful in an increasingly competitive global environment," Morris said. "The success of Boeing and all of its suppliers is interlinked, and our financial health is interdependent."
