SEATTLE, Jan. 18, 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today announced suppliers for the engines and other propulsion systems for the new 747-8 airplane. The 747-8 family, including the 747-8 Intercontinental passenger airplane and the 747-8 Freighter, was launched last November. Entry into service is scheduled for September 2009 with freighter operator Cargolux of Luxembourg.
