Boeing, Aeroflot Finalize Order for 22 787 Dreamliners

Return to News Release

SEATTLE, Sept. 05, 2007 -- Aeroflot shareholders have approved an Aeroflot order for 22 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. The order is valued at $3.6 billion at list prices. Aeroflot will use the 787 to both upgrade and expand its long-haul fleet, serving markets in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. "An exhaustive, comparative analysis of all of our options revealed very clearly that the 787 is an excellent match for many of our requirements," said Valery Okulov, Aeroflot general director. "The 787 offers the optimal size and range for our operations. It will open new market opportunities as we further modernize our fleet and expand our international reach."
