Boeing Begins Final Assembly of 1st P-8A Poseidon

ST. LOUIS, April 03, 2008 -- The first P-8A fuselage is lowered into a tooling fixture in Renton, Wash., following its arrival from Spirit AeroSystems' facility in Wichita, Kan. Boeing Commercial Airplanes mechanics then began final assembly of the first P-8A Poseidon aircraft, installing systems, wires, tubing and other small parts. The aircraft will make its first flight in 2009.
