Aerojet, a subsidiary of GenCorp Inc. [NYSE: GY], has served missile, space propulsion, defense, and armaments markets since 1942. Since 1993, Aerojet has been the sole supplier for the F-22 Raptor welded titanium forward booms. The company is also the sole supplier of the second-stage engines for the Delta II rocket, a program managed by the United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin to deliver payloads into low-Earth orbit. In addition, Aerojet supports the Focused Lethality Munition program for the U.S. Air Force, the Small Diameter Bomb program and the HyFly development program for scramjet engines. Aerojet earned the "Raptor of Distinction" award from Boeing F-22 teammate Lockheed Martin in July 2004, and was previously named a Boeing Supplier of the Year in 2005.
