Boeing KC-767 Tanker: Sized Right for the Fight

Return to News Release

ST. LOUIS, May 07, 2008 -- This graphic compares the Boeing KC-767 Advanced Tanker and Northrop Grumman/EADS' KC-30 tanker with the aircraft they were asked to replace -- the KC-135 tanker currently in service. The oversized KC-30 would cost taxpayers $49 billion more for fuel, maintenance and infrastructure than the KC-767, while being significantly limited in the locations and numbers at which it could be deployed. (Analysis based on publicly available and Boeing data.)
