MCDONNELL DOUGLAS DELTA II TO PLACE
NEXT 5 IRIDIUM® SYSTEM SATELLITES INTO ORBIT
A McDonnell Douglas (NYSE: MD) Delta II expendable rocket will launch five IRIDIUM telecommunications system satellites on Wednesday, July 9, from Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB), Calif. The five-second launch window opens at 6:04:30 a.m. PDT.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS AND ACCESS

LAUNCH DAY
Media wishing to cover the launch are asked to meet on
July 9 at the Visitor Control station at the main gate of VAFB at
5:30 a.m. PDT to caravan to the press site.

Satellite coordinates are Transponder 13, SBS 6, audio downlink frequency 12019 horizontal. Broadcast time will be 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. PDT.
