Boeing’s new aircraft and innovative technologies attracted thousands of visitors during this week’s Paris Air Show, with the international debut of the 747-8 Intercontinental and 747-8 Freighter as well as another crowd-pleasing appearance by the 787 Dreamliner.

To answer the needs of potential international customers with low-risk and affordable solutions, the F-15 Silent Eagle and F/A-18 Super Hornet with new international roadmap options allow Boeing to customize its offering in future fighter competitions. With these two successful strike-fighter programs and evolving technologies to power the future generation of tactical aircraft, Boeing is positioned to be a frontrunner in the fighter market for decades to come.
It’s a big deal when a new airplane makes its international debut at a major air show. But the Boeing 747-8 Freighter’s first trip to the Paris Air Show will likely be remembered more for how it got there.
Leading the way in all of its missions, the CH-47 Chinook tandem rotor helicopter has been delivering troops, cargo and humanitarian aid around the world since 1962. With a skilled workforce dedicated to quality and craftsmanship at Boeing's Ridley Township facility near Philadelphia, the production line now includes major upgrades like a modern final assembly section that makes future production of the legendary aircraft more intuitive. The aircraft itself has also been fitted with expanded capabilities for critical missions.
It's time to put the wraps on another great air show here in Paris. All week long, we had the chance to showcase our new airplanes and innovative technologies to some incredibly receptive crowds.
Not even today's downpour at the Paris Air Show could stop the excitement surrounding the 787 Dreamliner. A steady stream of customers, suppliers and media climbed aboard the airplane today—so many that I didn't even have a chance to get inside myself.
You can always count on the 787 Dreamliner to get your blood pumping—and it did just that during Tuesday's session of the Paris Air Show. The airplane landed during a media reception and immediately turned heads.
Greetings from the Paris Air Show, where Mother Nature is putting on a show of her own. We were treated to a little bit of everything today—rain, wind, cold, heat and humidity.
It's not easy trying to predict 20 years into the future. But here at Boeing, we have an excellent track record forecasting what's ahead for the aviation market.
