Final preparations are underway as mechanics, engineers and flight operations prepare to send three flight test planes to the Paris Air Show. “We’re going to clean it, maintain it and we’re going to give it a good aircraft wash before we take it out into the public view,” said David Dessenberger, Boeing Flight Test manager. The Intercontinental will be joined by the 747-8 Freighter, the 787 Dreamliner, Air Berlin’s 737-700 and a Qatar Airways 777-200LR. The U.S. Department of Defense will feature a C-17 Globemaster III, the F-15E Strike Eagle, and CH-47E Chinook helicopter. The Paris Air Show begins on June 20.
