Teams of Phantom Works technologists are focused on developing, validating and transitioning into Boeing's business units innovative structural concepts that utilize advanced materials and are built with affordable, robust manufacturing processes.
These technologists are focused on minimizing assembly through unitized, monolithic structure; automating the remaining assembly with advanced, portable robotics; acquiring or developing advanced processes to minimize cost and improve quality during part fabrication; propagating advanced technology throughout Boeing via "synergy teams"; and teaming with customers and suppliers to maximize everyone's investments.
