Hot air balloon and Airborne Laser enthusiasts gathered together recently to inflate a hot air balloon that will carry an Airborne Laser banner.The 29-foot wide by 15-foot high banner depicts a computer-generated picture of the Airborne Laser shooting down a theater ballistic missile.
According to the hot air balloon crew the Airborne Laser will fly through the skies of Albuquerque on the banner this fall during the Kodak Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
The real Airborne Laser is scheduled to fly and shoot down a theater ballistic missile in 2002.
