Launch of SICRAL 1B

Sea Launch is now preparing for the launch of Telespazio's SICRAL 1B communications satellite on April 20, with liftoff planned at the opening of a 57-minute window, at 1:16 am Pacific Time (08:16 GMT). We will carry live coverage of this mission through Spacecraft Acquisition, starting at 1:00 am Pacific Time (08:00 GMT). Built by Thales Alenia Space, the dual-use Italsat 3000 spacecraft, with a mass of 3,038 kg (6,697 lb), is designed to provide communications services for the Italian Ministry of Defense, NATO and allied nations..
