Background

Boeing Travel Management Co. manages all business travel for The Boeing Co., in addition to serving other corporate clients and leisure travelers.

Airline ticket sales -- including Boeing business travel, leisure travel and other corporate accounts -- in 2004 totaled $274 million, making it the 20th largest U.S. travel company, according to Travel Weekly. Boeing Travel Management Co. uses the Sabre reservation system; it is a fully appointed Airlines Reporting Corp (ARC) and International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN) agency.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., Boeing Travel Management Co. has more than 50 years experience in corporate travel. The company began as a corporate travel division of McDonnell Douglas, which was acquired by The Boeing Company in 1997. At that time, the travel operations previously managed by Boeing were integrated into the subsidiary.
