Connecting, Protecting and Inspiring

When I received my offer to work at Boeing, I could not believe it! I was going to work for one of the companies I have admired ever since I was a little girl. I remember coming to America on a Boeing commercial airplane as a child and being reunited with my family. Our commercial airplanes are helping to connect families every day, creating happy memories, and making a huge impact on so many lives.

My first job at Boeing was working in Lean Manufacturing on the C-17 production program. It was an amazing program, and it was so cool to work on the shop floor alongside with the mechanics who built the airplane. Years later, I met a female Air Force pilot who flew the C-17, and when I told her that I used to work on the C-17 program, she gave me a huge hug and said, "Thank you and your teammates for building an awesome airplane that has kept us safe on many missions." I am proud of our company and our products every time I am reminded of the significance of the products we create. We are protecting people and making a difference in the world.

As a child, I loved learning about space exploration. I participated in a Spaceset [International Space Settlement Design] competition at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where we created a proposal to develop a settlement on Mars. Little did I know then that I would someday work for a company that has played a role in every major U.S. human spaceflight program and that will someday send people to Mars on the SLS [Space Launch System] rocket. It is incredibly inspirational to reflect on Boeing's rich legacy in space exploration.

As if connecting and protecting the world and exploring space isn't enough allure to attract people to work at the company, we also have some really fun and exciting jobs at Boeing. In almost 15 years at Boeing, I have worked in over a dozen different roles ranging from engineering to business to HR, and I have enjoyed every moment. I can truly say based on personal experience that Boeing is an amazing place to work.

I have the honor and privilege of sharing my passion for The Boeing Company in my current role as a college recruiter. This is the best job in the company, because we get to inspire the best and the brightest students at top universities to start their careers at the largest and most diverse aerospace company in the world.
