When I joined Boeing Defence UK three years ago, little did I know what was going to happen to the small group of engineers I worked with. We became the BDUK Advanced Systems Group, and we specialize in developing software to support Boeing's activities and generate new business. We have won contracts from external defense agencies, and provide support to internal projects in the United Kingdom as well.

When the members of the Advanced Systems Group are not writing software, we like to spread the good word about Boeing. I recently organized an event at a university campus close to our offices in the United Kingdom. It was great to engage with the students and educate them about the good work we do.

Our group recently went to the National Museum of Computing. It was great to see Colossus, the world's first electronic computer. Technology has evolved so much since 1943, and so has Boeing.

Even though things have moved on since I joined Boeing, I am still just as passionate about engineering as I ever was, and I am proud to be part of the Boeing family.
