Giving Back

February 2016

I worked at the Boeing Company for 23 years, three years as a contractor and 20 years as a Boeing employee. I retired in 2010. During my years working at Boeing, I was placed on many projects in various departments. I learned something new each time. Working at Boeing gave me many talents and skills, such as communicating with others, giving presentations, working with teams, writing procedures, volunteering throughout the community and working in a diverse environment.

Because of the skills I learned working at Boeing, I later was able to find part-time employment with nonprofit agencies. I used the skills learned at Boeing to help low-income people, seniors and veterans in my community. I am currently working as an outreach specialist in my community and I enjoy helping others.

I thank Boeing for all the training I received and paying for my college education. ... What a great place I worked, The Boeing Company.

The skills Earline Parham developed at Boeing enabled her to give back to her community.
