247: Ready for Its Close-up

My greatest thrill with a Boeing was to fly in another aircraft beside a Boeing 247D N18E.

I was taking some air-to-air photos as the airplane left Dublin for the UK at the end of its ferry flight from the USA on 29 July 1982 to be preserved with the Science Museum at Wroughton.

My photo shows the aircraft over the County Wicklow countryside south of Dublin.
