Coming Up 7s

My dad was recruited as an aeronautical design engineer for Boeing in 1958. He met my mom in Seattle, so I would not even exist if it weren't for the Boeing "7" jets. He worked on 707, 727 and the big one, 747.

He was hit by the post-SST (Supersonic Transport) recession and laid off, which hurt our family a lot. He was hired back in 1978 and, after a stint in defense, he went back to planes and was working on design of the 777 when he died in early 1993. His name was Terence Browne and he was born in India and trained in England.
