Engine of Success

I worked as a mechanic for Pan American Airlines in New York on all of their original 707s and later on the 707-120s. Great airplanes. Also during that time Pan Am was phasing out the 377 Stratocruisers, and we had to prepare them for ferry to Miami for retirement. Those were quite the aircraft to work on -- 56 spark plugs to change on each engine. Also had the pleasure of the tour at the Everett plant later on. Worked on a lot of other makes, but Boeings were and are the best.
