No Rain on this Parade: China Airlines Orders 6 777-300ERs

China Airlines loves a good parade. Taiwan’s flag carrier has been a popular participant in Los Angeles’ annual Rose Parade since 1987. It has won the event’s International Trophy 22 times — including the past eight consecutive years. The airline views such events as great opportunities to promote Taiwan’s natural beauty, culture and people on an international stage.

The airline is just as competitive when it comes to fleets as floats. China Airlines was ranked as the world’s tenth top-performing mainline carrier by Aviation Week in 2011, and continues to enhance its global operations. Case in point: the recent order for six 777-300ERs with new state-of-the-art interiors. By choosing the world’s most successful twin-engine, long-haul airplane, China Airlines is sure to continue its winning ways-and ensure a rosy future.
