As a Tooling intern at the Boeing plant in Everett, Joseph Fraser leveraged his internship to gain skills in a variety of manufacturing areas.
Boeing Tooling interns, like Fraser, learn about the role of Tool Makers at Boeing – who build, maintain and repair tooling that is fabricated from all types of materials.
Currently a student Everett Community College, Fraser plans on getting an associate’s degree in Composites and Machining. Fraser was able to work on plates with high gauges and drills. He was also able to gain experience using band saws and horizontal saws.

Pretty much everything has been a bonus, from seeing everything how it works here and the process from production to tooling construction, helping make fixtures for the planes. It has been an awesome experience!”
