Brian Baird is vice president of Supply Chain for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Named to the position in December 2021, Baird is responsible for the overall strategy, development, contracting, performance and daily management of the supply chain that supports the manufacture and service of all Boeing commercial airplanes.
Baird brought 13 years of Supply Chain leadership (30 years’ experience overall) to his position. Previously, Baird was vice president of Operations for Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain, with primary responsibility for supplier relationships, development and performance. Before that, he served as vice president of Aircraft Materials & Structures for Supplier Management, vice president of 787 Production Control and vice president of 787 Supplier Management.
With Boeing since 1991, Baird has held cross-functional assignments and leadership roles in Supplier Management, Business Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Finance and Corporate Development.
Baird has a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Montana State University, a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University and Master of Science in engineering management from Washington State University. He completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2008.
