Brian Baird is vice president of the Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain. Named to the position in December 2021, Baird has responsibility for the overall strategy, development, contracting, performance, and daily management of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes supply chain, which supports the manufacture and service of all Boeing commercial airplanes.
Baird brings thirteen years of Supply Chain leadership (thirty years experience overall) to his new position. Previously, Baird was vice president of Operations for Supply Chain, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, with primary responsibility for supplier relationships, development and performance.
Prior to that, Baird served as vice president of Aircraft Materials & Structures for Supplier Management, vice president of 787 Production Control and vice president of 787 Supplier Management.
With Boeing since 1991, Baird has held cross-functional assignments and leadership roles in Supplier Management, Business Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Finance and Corporate Development.
Baird has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University, Master of Business Administration from Seattle University, and Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Washington State University. He completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2008.
