Troy Lahr is vice president of Finance and chief financial officer of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), a multi-billion dollar business specializing in innovative and capability-driven solutions to meet the needs of defense, government, space, intelligence and security customers in the United States and around the world. Based in Arlington, Va., he leads all BDS financial activities.
Previously, Lahr was vice president and controller for BDS where he was responsible for the regulatory compliance of the business, as well as ensuring the accuracy, transparency and timeliness of its financial disclosures.
Prior to that, Lahr was the CFO of Autonomous Systems, a division within BDS that focuses on autonomous technologies, intelligence capabilities and networking solutions from seabed to space. He also served on the board of directors for United Launch Alliance, a joint venture with Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
In an earlier role, Lahr led Investor Relations for Boeing, working with institutional investors and securities analysts to promote understanding of Boeing's programs, financial performance and outlook. He joined Boeing in 2012 as part of the Business Development group within BDS.
Before joining Boeing, Lahr worked for more than a decade at Stifel Financial as managing director covering the aerospace and defense sector. Recognition for Lahr’s leadership in equity research included Best on the Street Master Stock Picker by the Wall Street Journal for Aerospace and Defense.
Lahr holds a Master of Science in Finance from Loyola University, Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
