Lending a Global Helping Hand

July 31, 2013 in Community

Imagine more than 4,000 volunteers around the world working together to make their communities a better place to live in.

That dream became a reality when Boeing employee volunteers, partnering with nonprofit partners, participated in the company’s Global Month of Service (GMOS) and pitched in to help with more than 50 activities at more than 50 sites across the company.

From cities and regions in the U.S., like St. Louis, Puget Sound and Southern California, to other countries including Japan and India, volunteers donned hard hats, gloves and aprons, working in a variety of temperatures and conditions, to improve their local communities and make life a little better for those in need.

GMOS grew from one day of service in 2010 to an entire month of service in 2013 in response to employee feedback.
