Developing a lightweight airplane wing, deploying a satellite, designing a spacecraft that can take astronauts to Mars—these are the types of challenges Boeing engineers tackle every day.

"The work that we do is so hinged on the quality of the engineering and the science, and yet that's so inaccessible because it is literally rocket science, and so how do you make that accessible to kids, and to their families and their teachers," explained Deepa Gupta, director, Education Initiatives and Strategy. “Skills-based volunteerism is giving our employees a pathway into taking what they know and applying it to enhancing a student’s learning."
