We know Boeing employees care deeply for the community – and Team Boeing Puget Sound showed up big for our neighbors this holiday season. Between employee donations and Boeing’s matching dollars, Puget Sound teammates raised more than $367,000 through our Spirit of the Holidays (SOHO) drive! That money will go to purchase gifts and gift cards for local foster youth, military and low-income families, as well as seniors in need.
“I just love the Spirit of the Holidays drive!” said Armando Mejia, Boeing Global Engagement community investor, Puget Sound. “This employee engagement program enables our Boeing Puget Sound employees – who are known for their generosity -- to support our local community and make a difference. In this particularly challenging year, I am so proud of how our employees stepped up - amazing teamwork!”
Along with individual contributions, some employees teamed up for a friendly competition too. Sixty-one different teams competed for a good cause. Our 2021 top team, “SOHO Smile” in Everett, raised a whopping $17,841!
A special shout-out also goes to our teammates in Moses Lake.
Through employee giving and company match, 35 Moses Lake teammates united to give more than $9,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia Basin and Firefighters for Kids. That’s more than three times the funds that team raised through the drive last year!
“Our Boeing Moses Lake team cares deeply about the community where we live and work, and that really came through during our Spirit of the Holidays Drive,” said Boeing’s Denise Caldwell, who led the Spirit of the Holidays Drive in Moses Lake along with colleague Judi Rock. “The generosity of the Moses Lake team will help make the season more special for those who could use some kindness this holiday season.”
A big thanks for all the kindness shown through this year’s drive.
