Boeing Sky Interior Debuts on Next-Generation 737
787 Deamliner Interior Provides Inspiration
For the Boeing Next-Generation 737 there is always something new on the horizon. The 737 Boeing Sky Interior is next in line. Passengers will instantly see and feel the difference.
Airlines Create Welcoming Entry
The airport experience fades away as passengers transition from the narrowing jet way to the airplane's threshold. New cove lighting and curving architecture create a distinctive entry way. It's the airline's first opportunity to welcome passengers aboard. Passengers will see a soft blue sky overhead simulated by light emitting diode (LED) lighting and a more open cabin.
Passengers Can Store More Bags
With new, larger stowage bins, more people can store their luggage closer to their seats, helping to reduce the anxiety they may have felt in the past. The bins pivot up out of the way, and their shape adds to the open feel of the cabin. With more bags stowed above there is more legroom below.
Passenger Service Units More Intuitive
Passengers reaching for the reading light switch will be less likely to select the attendant call button thanks to a different look and more separation between these buttons.
Service units also feature an integrated speaker with improved sound quality and LED reading lights. LED lighting has a 10-fold increase in useful life, reducing maintenance costs for airlines.
787 Dreamliner Inspires Décor and Reduces Maintenance Time
New, modern, sculpted sidewalls and window reveals direct the passengers' eyes to the view outside the window ? the place where passengers say they most experience a thrilling sense of flying.
The new design integrates the air grille into the sidewall. Form meets function as the one-piece tamper-proof design reduces inspection time for airlines required to perform security checks before flights.
Cabin Noise is Reduced
The combination of noise-dampening material against the airplane's interior skin and the design of the new integrated air grille make the cabin quieter for a more comfortable flight.
Attendant Controls Modernized
Flight crews will experience increased functionality with a modernized touchscreen attendant panel. The panel accommodates all existing cabin controls and adds controls for the new cabin lighting.
