Continental's Takes Delivery Of First Boeing 767-200ER

EVERETT, Wash., Nov. 10, 2000 -- Continental Airlines took delivery of its first 767-200ER (extended range) jetliner. The 767-200ER is the smallest member of the 767 family, which also includes two additional passenger models, the larger 767-300ER and 767-400ERs, and a 767-300 Freighter. The twin-engine 767 - sized between the single-aisle 757 and the larger, twin-aisle 777 - has built a reputation among airlines for its profitability and comfort. The 767-200ER has a range of 6,615 nautical miles (12,250 km) making it possible to connect city pairs such as New York to Beijing.
