New large flight-deck displays inside the first 737 MAX have now come to life – glowing panels indicating that power is now flowing through the first airplane on the production line.
"'Power on' is an important milestone because it is the first time systems on the airplane are integrated and talking to each other," said Rachel Kelley, 737 MAX Right at First Flight Leader for Airplane Development.
"Power on" is a step in airplane production that typically happens during final assembly, after all sections of the airplane are brought together and the wiring is connected.
