    LEAP-1B engine

    The LEAP-1B Engine was specifically designed for the 737 MAX, combining the reliability of the previous generation CFM56 engine and the fuel economy of the cutting-edge engine technologies.

    Inspired by the 787 aerodynamic advances, the 737 MAX features a nacelle integrated with the wing, reducing drag and improving efficiency.

    Advanced Technology winglets

    The 737 MAX Advanced Technology winglets are the most efficient ever designed for a production airplane, combining design and manufacturing techniques that allow for natural laminar flow. This increases lift and effective wingspan while reducing drag. These benefits allow the AT winglets to reduce fuel use and CO2 emissions by up to 2%.

    Aerodynamic improvements

    The 737 MAX aft body has a new streamlined design, increasing aerodynamic efficiency of the airplane and reducing drag.  This results in up to 1% fuel and emission savings.

    Flight deck enhancements

    The 737 MAX flight deck features four large 38 cm (15 in) displays, which are the same size as the 787 Dreamliner and the 777X. These larger displays provide enhanced situational awareness for pilots and provide space for future flight deck functionality. Advanced avionics, such as integrated navigation features, all-weather capability, and electronic flight bag connectivity make the 737 MAX flight deck a modern and future-ready platform.
