The Employees Community Fund (ECF) Puget Sound Chapter announced nearly $1.4 million in grants this year to 29 health and human service nonprofits serving the Puget Sound community.

These grants, supported entirely by employee donations, will empower Puget Sound community partners to make significant improvements, such as enhancing food bank facilities, acquiring vehicles for client transport, and upgrading essential buildings. The funds will directly benefit thousands of children, families, and individuals, ensuring that our collective efforts create a lasting impact.

Katrina White, ECF Puget Sound Chapter president, said, “I'm incredibly proud of the generous contributions from my fellow Boeing ECF donors. Their support is making a direct impact on the vital work our community partners are doing, helping to uplift and transform lives every day.”

Among the nonprofits receiving support, Veteran Rites stands out for its crucial work in veteran suicide prevention. By guiding veterans to rediscover their purpose and identity, Veteran Rites plays a crucial role in helping veterans find what they truly have to live for.

  • “Veteran Rites credits Boeing employee donors with providing the equipment, trailer, and gear that has significantly enhanced the Welcome Home experience for our veterans as they return to a life filled with identity, purpose, and belonging after their military service concludes,” said Cj Ryan E. Mielcarek, executive director of Veteran Rites.

To all Boeing ECF donors who contributed, your generosity is making a profound difference in the lives of many as we uplift our neighbors and foster a spirit of compassion and support.

“Veteran Rites is deeply grateful to Boeing donors for making us feel valued, inspired, and equipped to continue our mission of bringing veterans and their families home” shared Mielcarek.

Together, Boeing employees are creating a brighter future for our communities, one grant at a time.
