The Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound Chapter announces more than 2.25 million in community support

The latest grants awarded to 36 Puget Sound area non-profits

The Employees Community Fund (ECF) Puget Sound Chapter granted a total of $2,269,046.99 to 36 non-profits supporting health and human services organizations throughout the Puget Sound region. This grant cycle, which happens twice a year, will fund items such as a new community center, a truck to support a food harvest and delivery program, equipment for job training programs, medical equipment, and building improvements.

Through all of the non-profit groups supported, thousands of children, families, and individuals will benefit from the generosity of Boeing employees, who make a positive impact where they live and work.

Brotherhood Rise Center The Brotherhood Rise Center (BRC) in Tacoma’s Hilltop community serves homeless, underserved, and underemployed with a focus on ending homelessness by addressing its underlying causes. ECF grant funds will be used for an outreach vehicle to pick up clients and provide transport services. Pierce County
Camp Fire Central Puget Sound Camp Fire Central Puget Sound provides community volunteer-based programs that cultivate stewardship of the earth's resources, strengthen the community, promote compassion, nurture families, celebrate and honor diversity, and help young people develop their individual strengths and leadership skills. This ECF grant will be used for a new industrial dishwasher for Camp Fire's Camp Stealth facility. Central Puget Sound, Vashon Island
Camp Fire Snohomish County Camp Killoqua offers multiple programs including Resident Camp, Counselors In Training, Day Camp, Day Camp Assistants, After School Camp, Outdoor Education, Camp Special Events, and Family Camp. The ECF grant will be used to procure a new vehicle, replacing one 38 years old, that will enable continued operations at the camp and support program efficiency. Snohomish County
Camp Korey Camp Korey provides free, year-round camp programs for more than 1,800 children with complex medical conditions and disabilities each year. This ECF grant will provide funding in support of a new HVAC system in camp facilities. Skagit County
City Fruit City Fruit harvests from public orchards and residential fruit trees across the city to share this food with those who may lack access to fresh fruit. This ECF grant will allow for the purchase of a truck to support the on-going fruit harvest program. Seattle, Bellevue
Community Health Care Community Health Care provides primary outpatient medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured individuals. This ECF capital grant provides for a prescription dispensing system as part of a larger building renovation project. Pierce County
Coupeville Farm to School Coupeville Farm to School works to increase the capacity of the school district to offer fresh, locally grown food in school lunch programs and to provide garden-based experiential learning opportunities to K-12 students. This ECF grant will purchase farm equipment including a caterpillar tunnel, tractor accessories, plant starting heat mat, watering system and more. Island County
Domestic Violence Services Of Snohomish County Domestic Violence Services Of Snohomish County provides telephone crisis intervention, shelter, and victim advocacy. This ECF grant will be used to upgrade an aging phone system that includes a 24/7 support line. Snohomish County
Downtown Emergency Service Center Downtown Emergency Service Center is the largest King County shelter serving chronically homeless individuals with severe and complex combinations of mental illness, substance use disorders, major medical conditions, and other disabilities. ECF funds will be used for a multi-use van for client transport, facilities maintenance, materials handling, and donations collection. King County
Elizabeth Gregory Home Elizabeth Gregory Home helps women experiencing homelessness succeed in stabilizing and transforming their lives. This ECF grant will help create an empowerment space to host a variety of activities including client interaction, engagement with outside resources, and educational programs. King County
Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington Evergreen Goodwill serves individuals facing significant barriers and helps provide the training and support services needed to reduce barriers and access economic opportunity. This ECF grant provides for technology to support adult digital skills classes. King, Kitsap, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom Counties
Evergreenhealth Monroe Foundation Evergreenhealth Monroe is a small but busy hospital located along the HWY 2 corridor that provides the first stop for trauma patients and medical emergencies in East Snohomish County. This ECF grant will purchase new waiting room furniture and folding chairs. Snohomish County
Family Support Center Of South Sound Family Support Center provides emergency shelter to resilient, hardworking, determined families, who just happen to be going through one of the most difficult and stressful times in their lives. This ECF grant is part of a larger effort to renovate agency client meeting and office space, and is specifically for new flooring. Thurston County
Generations with Pride Generations with Pride provides innovative programs and services that enhance belonging and support, eliminate discrimination, and honor the lives of older members of the LGBTQIA+ community. ECF grant funds will go towards commercial kitchen equipment at PridePlace’s affordable housing and senior center. King County
Homage Senior Services Homage Senior Services' Minor Home Repair program provides at-need senior citizens of Snohomish County with small, free, health-and-safety-related repairs on their homes, that these clients often find out of their financial reach. This ECF grant is being used to replace a van, at the end of its service life, that is used for clients' home repairs. Snohomish County
Hunger Intervention Program Hunger Intervention Program provides direct food support and cooking and nutrition classes for underserved populations in northeast Seattle and Shoreline. This ECF grant will be used for a cargo van to transport food to program participants. King County
Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank addresses the need for free, nutritious food and essential resources for individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, disability, illness, and other forms of marginalization. This ECF grant will help purchase a commercial refrigerator and freezer unit, which will increase efficiency and effectiveness of the food bank. King County
Jewish Family Service Jewish Family Service assists newly-arrived refugees and immigrants in the Puget Sound region by providing resettlement services, pre­employment services, job training, job placement services, English as a second language classes, and citizenship classes. This ECF grant will support purchase of a vehicle to meet the transportation needs of refugees, immigrants, and asylees resettling in the Puget Sound. Puget Sound
Kin On Health Care Center Kin On provides an aging-friendly campus that offers multiple levels of residential care along with a community center for the low-income Asian community. This ECF grant will be used to update Kin On's video surveillance system on its main campus in South Seattle to create a safe environment for residents, family members, program participants, staff, and volunteers. King County Sexual Assault Resource Center King County Sexual Assault Resource Center is the largest community sexual assault program in the state. This ECF grant will support improvements in its technology database and infrastructure, which will ensure better information management, data security, and program efficiency enabling the agency to provide better service delivery to survivors of sexual assault. King County
Lifewire Lifewire provides programs and services for domestic violence survivors, including an emergency shelter and transitional housing. This ECF grant will provide kitchen appliances for its emergency shelter and transitional housing apartment. King County
Lighthouse for the Blind Inc. Lighthouse for the Blind transforms the lives of people who are blind, deafblind, and blind with other disabilities. This ECF grant will support equipment upgrades for blind and deafblind machinists, which contributes to their self-sustainability and upward career mobility.  Puget Sound
Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center Little Bit provides equine-assisted services using evidence-based practices, clinical reasoning, and the horse’s movement to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to achieve functional outcomes for children and adults with disabilities. This ECF grant will be used for equipment and materials to maintain the agency's 14-acre site. King County
Multicultural Child And Family Hope Center Multicultural Child And Family Hope Center provides human service programs that are dedicated to strengthening and supporting families. This ECF capital grant will support construction, AV-computer equipment, and furniture supply for Multicultural’s new Cora Whitley Family Center. Pierce County
Orion Industries Orion Industries provides training program solutions to residents in the Puget Sound area challenged by poverty, chronic unemployment, and dependency on public assistance. This ECF grant will replace aging machinery for their aerospace manufacturing training program. Puget Sound
Peacock Family Services Peacock Family Services provides licensed afterschool and childcare programs. This ECF grant provides for multiple technology updates including replacing outdated computers and new security cameras.  Kitsap County
Secret Harbor Secret Harbor provides programs designed to provide transitional-based opportunities for young people dealing with trauma. This ECF grant will help purchase a vehicle to provide safe transport for foster youth and families. Puget Sound
Sno Valley Senior Center Sno Valley Affordable Senior Apartments is being built to give low-income seniors a better chance to stay in the communities where they may have lived for many years. This ECF grant will support purchase of furniture for common areas of the senior apartment facility. King County
Solid Ground Washington Solid Ground provides shelter, transitional housing, and advocacy for survivors and their children escaping domestic violence. This ECF grant will support facility improvements in transitional shelter units.  King County
Southwest Youth And Family Services Southwest Youth & Family Services provides services for children, youth, and families experiencing systemic racial and economic inequities including education, behavioral health, and youth and family advocacy services within a safe and culturally responsive environment. This ECF grant will be used for a passenger van to provide transportation and support the agency’s youth programs. King County
STEM Paths Innovation Network STEM Paths Innovation Network (SPIN) supports girls and underprivileged youth of color in pursuing interest in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM.)  This ECF grant supports SPIN equipping a new facility space.  King County
White Center Community Development Association The White Center Community HUB will be the home of the White Center Community Development Association, Southwest Youth and Family Services, HealthPoint, YES! Foundation of White Center, and FEEST Seattle. The HUB will provide White Center residents with a one-stop location for comprehensive family, youth, small business, and health services. This ECF capital grant will cover elevator costs that are part of the larger development project.  King County
Whitewater Aquatics Management Whitewater Aquatics provides water-related education, training, and competition in the community. This ECF grant will be used to train a large contingent of lifeguards to be deployed throughout King County. King County
