Chief engineer joins prestigious class of professionals

Election to National Academy of Engineering honors leadership and engineering impact.

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected Howard McKenzie, chief engineer and executive vice president, Engineering, Test & Technology, as a member of the Class of 2026. The appointment recognizes extraordinary technical achievement and leadership in engineering.

McKenzie joins more than 150 new members in the class, including 130 U.S. and 28 international individuals. His election honors his sustained contributions to engineering research, practice and education, recognizing both his individual excellence and commitment to advancing technologies and solutions that address complex societal challenges.

“I’m honored to be elected to the National Academy of Engineering as part of the Class of 2026,” McKenzie said. “I’m grateful and humbled by the company I join and delighted to be among the industry leadership represented within the NAE.”
