My parents gave me the book “How Things Work” for my 10th birthday, which immediately became my favorite book. I read it until it fell apart. My curiosity led me to take apart the TV, lawn mower and telephone to see their insides. My parents were pleasantly surprised when I was soon able to successfully reassemble them. That was when I knew I would be an engineer.
I love helping junior engineers learn and hone new skills and seeing them grow and succeed at tackling ever harder technical challenges. The opportunities we have at Boeing to develop creative solutions for the world’s most amazing systems are incredible. From satellites and space exploration to commercial airplanes and military jets, helicopters, robotics, communication systems and more, it’s all here at Boeing.
The Boeing Technical Fellowship is a terrific opportunity to expand your leadership role and impact while keeping a strong technical focus. It’s about continually improving the skill level of our engineers, bringing together the best expertise to solve tough technical challenges, innovate new technologies, ensure the highest quality for our products, and insist on rigorous practices and attention to detail to prevent costly future oversights.
I’m excited about incorporating the ongoing revolutionary advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve the capabilities of Boeing’s products, especially for platform autonomy, and accelerating our development processes. I’m also excited about Boeing’s work to advance free space laser communication technology for challenging atmospheric path conditions and higher data rates.
