Meet Rob Stoker

Noise, Vibration and Emissions
Robert Stoker Boeing Technical Fellow

Since I was a young child, I have had a fascination with aircraft and space. I had models of the 747 airplane and Apollo rockets in my room. As I got older, my interest only increased, building and launching many paper airplanes from my second-floor window to see if I could land them in my neighbor’s yard. My love for commercial aviation really took off when my family moved overseas, giving me the chance to fly around the world and explore new places.

Since joining Boeing, I have been privileged to work on many technologies. Some of those have made it into our products and some have not. But the interactions among Boeing engineers — as we perform tests and pull together to develop solutions to difficult problems — have been inspiring and meaningful. I remember first joining Boeing as an engineer and interacting with Technical Fellows. I learned so much about airplanes and engineering from them, and I credit them with helping me get to where I am today.

It is a real honor to now be a Technical Fellow, and I hope to mentor and help others obtain their dreams at Boeing. Boeing has a bright future, and I am excited to be part of it, helping to ensure we have the right technologies and knowledge to develop the next generation of products.
